Some elements of that idea remain in this new sci-fi inspired look and his fighting style and move-set appears similar to what we remember but the appearance change is pretty extreme compared to those that came before it. Even the segmented head, with translucent dome revealing skull underneath and an exposed set of razor sharp-teeth seem to reference the creature from the original Alien movie designed by the Swiss. Yoshimitsu shares many customizations with the rest of the male characters in Tekken 7, as he did in Tekken Tag Tournament 2, but also retains unique items from the previous games, such as varying designs of samurai armor. Additionally, an analogous character bearing the same name, weapon, clan, and basic information was later carried over into Namcos Soul series of fighting games as a major. An amalgamation of biological and mechanical, from the glowing cephalopodan appendages adorning his bonce to the bone-like armour fused to his body. First introduced in the original Tekken game and has returned for all subsequent sequels in the Tekken series (primarily in main series installments due to his absence in some spin-off installments, Tekken Revolution). Only four characters have appeared in every game Heihachi, Paul, Nina and Yoshimitsu. Looking completely unrecognisable, and like he just stormed off the set of a hentai flick, we think the new Yoshimitsu actually has a touch of HR Giger’s artistry about him.
